Apartment converted into a psychology practice
THE CONTEXT
——
A psychology practice is not an ordinary space. It must simultaneously reassure and free, contain and open. It must be neutral enough not to intrude, yet warm enough to encourage conversation.
THE NEED
——
My client needed this space to reflect her own legitimacy. She needed it to tell her, every morning when she opened the door, "you belong here." A space that supports not only her patients, but also the person who receives them.

A storage area
——
Even before the session begins, the patient is invited to slow down, to put down their coat, their bag, and with them something heavier. The terracotta tones chosen for this space play a specific role: warm and enveloping, they activate the Earth zone in feng shui, that of anchoring and stability.
Physiologically, these ochre and clay hues are known to induce a sense of primary security. Like a return to something essential and familiar.
Doors designed as a tool for light and privacy
——
The two sliding frosted glass doors leading to the kitchen were designed so that even when closed, they allow a soft and diffused light to filter through the entire space. Neither a sharp break, nor complete transparency.
This subdued light creates what neuro-architecture calls a safe luminous environment: sufficiently lit not to be oppressive, sufficiently veiled to protect. In feng shui, this light filter maintains a fluid energy circulation without exposing or weakening. Exactly what a therapeutic space needs.
An Ombre d'Or creation for your space
——
The Agate coat hooks, creations of the Ombre d'or workshop, were conceived far beyond their primary function. Placed at the entrance, they invite you to set down your coat, your bag, and what you carry without seeing it. With their organic shape and mineral material, they literally anchor the body in space, creating that necessary transition moment before entering a consultation.
In feng shui, the entrance object carries a strong symbolic intention: it tells whoever crosses the threshold, "here, you can put things down." This is exactly the role these coat hooks play. A gentle, almost imperceptible, but profoundly right anchoring.

This project is a concrete demonstration of what interior architecture can achieve when it serves human beings. Not their image, but their inner state.

Your space could go much further
Creating a fair place is not a matter of chance. It is the result of listening, vision, and a design thought out in every detail. Perhaps it's time to take a fresh look at it.
