Ceramics Workshop · Ombre d'Or
When the material
becomes language.
Bespoke furniture creation. Porcelain, crystallized enamels, and unique pieces: a space for expression serving interior architecture.

Birth
A creative workshop born of a necessity
Our workshop was born from the desire to fully develop our expertise, to explore freely, and to build a common project. It exists for one purpose: to bring our vision to life in physical form.
It is a space for expression, research, and emancipation. A place where we can experiment, search, fail, and start over until we achieve a just form.

Fire time
A moment. An instant suspended.
We work with this element of uncertainty, as with any material involving fire—a subtle balance between control and letting go.
The gesture
The manufacturing process
in pictures.

An embedded signature in projects
Beyond the
design.
We design and create custom objects and furniture that we integrate into our projects: wall lights, handles, decorative elements, or furniture pieces. This approach allows us to embed craftsmanship at the very heart of our architectural vision.

At the core of our practice
Porcelain, a material of
metamorphosis.
Porcelain fascinates us with its ability to transform: fine, dense, translucent, matte, or glazed, it can take on infinite forms, capture light, and reveal depths. We develop our own glazes, especially crystallized glazes.
Each firing is a transformation. Each piece is the result of a balance between intention and matter.
What are crystallized glazes
A demanding technique
ceramics.
Crystalline glazes are produced by the formation of zinc silicate crystals on the surface of porcelain during high-temperature firing—up to 1,300 °C. This process requires extreme control, with cycles that can last up to 36 hours for a single batch.
Subject
Chosen for its density and translucency, high-kaolin white porcelain provides an ideal background for crystallization.
The enamel
We formulate our own glazes, a mixture of silica, zinc oxide, and coloring oxides whose proportions we vary.
Scarcity
Crystallization requires years of research, a precision kiln, and a great mastery of firing cycles, while still leaving an element of unpredictability.
It's precisely this uncontrollable element that makes each piece unique.
A process combining precision and intuition
From Intention to
just shape.

An architectural extension
Going beyond the drawing
with the creation of custom-made furniture.
The workshop directly informs our architectural vision. It allows us to go beyond drawing, to intervene in the very material of the project: claddings, space dividers, furniture, structural elements.
Because every place, like every person, deserves a unique response.
An ongoing dialogue
Complementarity at the heart of
each room.
Our creations are born from dialogue. From the confrontation of our perspectives, our sensitivities, our demands. It is in this complementarity that the pieces take shape.

Expertise & Design
It transmits know-how from major manufacturers, guiding the design, proportions, and firing cycles.
A piece that doesn't exist yet?
Let's create it.
Full project or single piece — let's talk about what you're looking to create, with the workshop as a starting point.
