THE CONTEXT

A two-story terraced house lacking light, flow, a children's bedroom, and a master suite. The main living area was too small, and the isolated kitchen did not allow for convivial living. The layout of the rooms did not reflect the needs or identity of the inhabitants.

Transform a constrained house into a generous and bright home. Create a true heart of life open to the outside. Offer each family member a space that reflects their personality. Warm and organic living areas for the adults. An imaginary and custom-made world for the child.

A new cornerstone

The most structuring decision was the creation of an extension veranda, designed as the new heart of the house.
The kitchen and dining room are located here under a metal canopy, bathed in natural light and open to the garden.
The colorful cement tiles on the floor, the warm wood of the facades, the golden wall lights – everything here creates that atmosphere suspended between indoors and outdoors.
An organic and enveloping stay

The living room is arranged around a fireplace clad in light and gold zellige, flanked by an integrated curved bench. An invitation to sit, to stay, to do nothing.
Exposed ceiling beams, herringbone parquet flooring, and walnut bookshelves create an organic and enveloping interior.
The depth map

An intense terracotta wall, arches framing the doorways, a skylight letting in the sky. A room that feels like a sanctuary.
The freest and most joyful piece

A castle-shaped cabin bed, moss-green wainscoting, floral and bird wallpaper, a generously proportioned carved wooden wardrobe. A space that grows with the imagination.
