Recreate space to promote movement and well-being

Complete transformation of an old apartment, involving restructuring volumes, improving circulation, and creating custom-designed rooms to reveal the potential of the space.

THE NEED

This project presented a fundamental tension: two rooms essential to daily life, the bathroom and the kitchen, compressed into proportions that hindered both movement and well-being.

The bathroom

A truly regenerative space

——

The initial intention was to free up the flow. By redesigning the volumes, the bathroom was extended in length, gaining space from the hallway to finally open up to natural light through a glass block.

In feng shui, the bathroom concentrates a particularly dense energy. Giving it clarity and space transforms a place of constraint into a true space of regeneration.

The living room

A balance between openness and containment

——

In the living room, we rejected partitioning as much as total emptiness. Two curved oak glass partitions structure the space without closing it off. They create a rhythm, a breathing space. The psychology of habitat teaches us that we need both openness and containment: these glass partitions embody this balance.

A built-in bookcase anchors the room, giving it a memory. The porcelain pendant light, custom-made for this project, provides a soft, embodied light. The Naga mirror, placed on the period fireplace, reflects the space with elegance and reminds us that every home, to reveal its true beauty, needs to be looked at.

The kitchen

A finally functional space

——

The kitchen, freed from this grip, has become what it naturally should be: a functional and warm space, conducive to the care we give to those we nourish.

YOUR PROJECT

Your space could go much further

Creating a fair place is not a matter of chance. It is the result of listening, vision, and a design thought out in every detail. Perhaps it's time to take a fresh look at it.
