At Ombre d'Or, we work at this frontier. Every project begins with attentive listening: to you, to your uses, and to the place itself.
This interpretation draws on interior architecture, the psychology of habitat, and the sciences of spatial perception to go beyond design, until the space truly makes sense for those who inhabit it.

WHAT WE READ IN A SPACE
Three analytical frameworks

A place speaks. It speaks of those who inhabit it, of what they are going through, of what they need without necessarily articulating it.
Our approach combines three disciplines to interpret it.
Neuro-architecture studies the measurable impact of space on the nervous system: proportions, light, materials, sounds, ceiling heights. These parameters directly influence our stress levels, concentration, and sense of security. We integrate them from the design stage.
Our spaces reflect us, and in turn, they shape us. A space that doesn't suit us creates a subtle but constant friction. Our work consists of creating a deep coherence between the place and those who inhabit it.
We use the principles of feng shui not as a doctrine, but as an additional framework for understanding. The bagua areas guide us in the arrangement of volumes, materials, and objects. Every piece created in our workshop carries this intention.

We design each space in its entirety. When a solution doesn't exist, we design it in our workshop, near Paris, in the Île de France region.
Each piece is custom-designed for a specific location. Shapes, proportions, and colors are born from the atmosphere we seek to reveal.
A shade soothes, grounds, or opens up the space. A material captures light, interacting with volumes. Nothing is merely decorative. Everything is just right, because everything is designed for that specific place.
Our enamels extend this intention: vibrant, unique, bespoke. Like every space we create.

First appointment
It all starts with a meeting. We take the time to listen to you, understand your lifestyle, your desires, and your sometimes-unseen needs. An immersion into your world, the essential first step in laying the foundations for a space that reflects you.

Statement and second brief
Measurements of your space are taken. Together, we review the main outlines of the project so that it fully embodies your needs and intentions.

Draft
Black and white 3D sketches to visualize the initial architectural intentions. A phase dedicated to exploring volumes. One version based on your ideas, a second where we propose our vision.

Preliminary & detailed draft
Once the direction has been chosen and refined together, your project truly comes to life. Ultra-realistic 3D renderings allow you to accurately visualize the atmosphere of your future space. Materials, colors, light, everything harmonizes to create a unique ambiance, guided by the principles of neuroarchitecture, feng shui, and housing psychology.
The DPD (Detailed Preliminary Design) refines the project by detailing plans, materials, and technical solutions, while integrating budgetary and regulatory constraints. A precise vision of the project before consulting companies.

Company Consultation
The DCE gathers all the necessary documents to consult companies and obtain accurate quotes: detailed plans, technical descriptions, material choices, administrative documents. We support you in selecting service providers before the start of the works.

This is not a cold reading. It is a benevolent, precise, and embodied exploration.

How's it going
A call or a message exchange so I can understand your space, your situation, and what brings you to me. This time is important: it allows me to arrive prepared, and you to arrive available.
Via video call or at your home, lasting 1h30 to 2h. We go through your space together, zone by zone. I read, I observe, I ask questions. Some things are evident without needing explanation.
A complete analysis of your space, a summary of the three priority areas of attention, and concrete, prioritized recommendations. Achievable actions even without renovation, even on a small budget.
Via video call or at home – Paris region, and travel possible depending on availability. Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours. Each consultation is tailor-made.
