Haussmannian Apartment: a balance between history and modernity

THE CONTEXT
——
Renovating a Haussmann-era apartment in Paris means finding the balance where historical architecture and contemporary sensibility mutually recognize each other.

THE NEED
——
The botanical green wallpaper in the living room set the tone. Deep and assertive, it adorns the heart of the home with a strong and assumed botanical presence.

The living room

Feeling good over time

——

The custom-built bookcase structures the wall and gives the space that feeling of permanence that neuro-architecture associates with places where one feels good over time.

In Feng Shui, green activates the energy of growth and renewal. An instinctively correct choice for the main room.

The bathroom

A true return to oneself

——

The bathroom tells another story, in terms of materials this time. Waxed concrete, pink lime, graphic terrazzo, and workshop-style glass partition – these raw, mineral surfaces transform a daily routine into a true moment of self-reflection.

The bedroom

A reserved case

——

From the living room to the bedroom, the same botanical and sensual theme runs through the entire apartment.

The grey and gold in the bedroom create a subtle setting, which the jungle wallpaper behind the bed imbues with lush and organic nature. A Feng Shui symbol of vitality and the couple's momentum.

This apartment was already a reflection of its occupants even before I picked up my tools. My role was not to transform them, but to reveal them.

YOUR PROJECT

Your space could go much further

Creating a fair place is not a matter of chance. It is the result of listening, vision, and a design thought out in every detail. Perhaps it's time to take a fresh look at it.
