Some apartments have been lived in for a long time without ever truly being listened to. This one was among them. Inhabited with love, but lacking light, space to breathe, and a space that truly reflected them.
THE NEED

This retired couple wasn't looking to change everything. They sought to rediscover something—the comfort of a home that speaks to them, welcomes them, and supports them in this new stage of life.

An entrance that sets the tone from the threshold

The deep terracotta of the walls activates the spirituality zone in feng shui: grounding, sense of belonging, returning to oneself.
The Agate hooks, creations by Atelier Ombre d'Or, punctuate this first contact with an organic and mineral presence. They are not merely functional. They declare, right from the entrance, that this apartment has a soul.
The energetic heart of the home

The kitchen has been completely redesigned around a custom-made metal glass partition that opens the space to the living room. Walnut wood, veined ceramic worktop, brushed brass faucet, floral patterned cement tiles on the floor.
Each material was chosen for its ability to warm and enliven this nourishing space. In feng shui, the kitchen is the energetic heart of the home, the place where abundance is prepared and shared.
The retractable shelf integrated into the furniture, discreet and ingenious, intelligently completes this space. Without cluttering, without weighing down.
A living room designed around a custom-made bookcase

The two-part bookcase allows the space to breathe. Its rounded shapes, fluted door bottoms, and brass handles create a warm presence without ever overpowering.
The Limpicatto lamp, a creation by Ombre d'or studio in glazed brown porcelain, brass, and opal globe, finds its natural place there, like an illuminated sculpture.
In neuro-architecture, accent lighting provided by a meaningful object transforms a piece of furniture into a true emotional anchor in the room.
Symbolically expand the space

The textured white stele holds the Ajna vase from the workshop, white and gold, generous, vibrant.
The convex mirror above multiplies the light and symbolically expands the space. A classic feng shui intention to nourish the prosperity and relationship area.
A glass roof as a gentle continuation
——
The metal canopy, visible from the table, weaves a permanent visual link between the shared meal and the kitchen that prepared it. A gentle continuity that reinforces the feeling of household unity.
Elevating everyday life to the status of a ritual

The bathroom is a world unto itself. Polished concrete envelops the walls with a soft, uniform mineral touch, while the arch designed around the mirror creates an architectural setting that elevates the everyday to a ritual.
The custom-made walnut vanity, topped with a veined marble surface and brass fixtures, anchors the space in timeless elegance.
On the floor, star-patterned cement tiles add a touch of graphic poetry that transforms a functional bathroom into a true self-care sanctuary.
In habitat psychology, the bathroom is the place of daily transformation. Where we prepare ourselves, where we find ourselves. Here, every detail invites us to slow down, to take care, to afford ourselves the luxury of time.
A functional walk-in closet, an object of daily care

The bright and inviting bedroom has been fitted with a custom-made dressing room featuring Ajna knobs, made of porcelain and real gold, transforming functional storage into an object of daily care. Opening your closets in the morning also means touching something beautiful.
The real gold of the knobs is not just about aesthetics. In feng shui, it symbolically nourishes abundance and renown, and its ability to capture and reflect light transforms every daily gesture into a micro-experience of beauty.
